ABOUT THE AUTHOR
CARLO TRENTADUE
Educational Venture Analyst
Originally from Toronto, Ontario, Carlo is a middle school humanities teacher at an independent school In Vancouver, British Columbia. Carlo has worked primarily within the middle school context for much of his educational career and has a passion for coaching football. He has led a number of international service trips, and learning abroad courses. Many of these learning experiences were facilitated by technology. Troubled by the amount of time spent marking papers instead of spending time teaching and forging relationships with students, Carlo decided it was time for technology to do the work, so he built Gradenetix so that teachers could focus on building core competencies in learners instead of being bogged down by marking.
He is a strong advocate for the intentional and effective use of educational technology in schools and always looking to create more opportunities to promote tech-enabled learning. Carlo currently is a graduate student at the University of British Columbia mastering the theory, implementation strategies, and future of educational technology.
